XMIOS SYSTEM BENEFITS

For Instructors / Operators

User Friendly/Easy To Use Interface
(Instructor/Operator with Training Device)

The XMIOS System interface is centered on two (2) touch-sensitive screens that provide the Instructor/Operator an intuitive means to monitor, select, or change various training environment settings in a simplistic and timely manner.

Using touchscreen methodologies (e.g., pull-down menus, multi-function buttons, check boxes, pushbuttons, and edit boxes), the effort required by the Instructor/Operator to establish a desired training situation is significantly reduced.

Graphical Presentations / Features

The XMIOS System uses graphical presentations and features throughout various display pages to transfer various parameter values and settings to the Instructor/Operator in an efficient manner.

Questionable Input Protection

Any display page variable item can be limited by minimum/maximum tolerances and any discrete item action can require confirmation before activation to provide protection against an inadvertent input.

Lesson Plan Support

Lesson Plan pages contain a selection of controls, functions, malfunctions, and comments that are organized sequentially as a training exercise that, when initiated, will control the environment with minimal Instructor/Operator input. Specific lesson plans (series of Lesson Plan Pages) are created through a Lesson Plan Builder and are developed in "legs" which correspond to various flight segments or phases of flight.

Standardization of IOS Systems

Instructors/Operators who have previously used the XMIOS System on one training device will be able to easily transfer that knowledge and experience to other XMIOS Systems installed on other training devices.

Built-In Help Functions / Assistance

The XMIOS System provides built-in help functions to assist the Instructor/Operator in understanding how a specific item or function will operate.

Additional IOS Control Capabilities

In addition to the primary touchscreen interface, the XMIOS System is capable of handling mouse, keyboard, and trackball Instructor/Operator inputs. Remote control units may also be added to control the training exercise.
